Position - Forklift Operator / Material Handler

What You'll Do
Support facility by ensuring correct material is at machines in a timely manner to produce quality parts and quality items are sent to the customer in a timely manner.

In this Function You Will
Operate powered industrial equipment in very close quarters.
Lift up to 35lbs.
Climb ladders.
Use RF scanners and computers to complete inventory transactions.
Receive and put away incoming product. Utilize stretchwrap equipment, scales, etc.
Responsible for quality of own work and safety inspections on forklift.
Perform waste and material management activities in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Keep work area clean and orderly. Follow all safety rules and practices.
Work in a team-based environment to meet Bussmann business objectives.


Required Qualifications
Successful completion of electric pallet jack and forklift operator training
Basic math skills
A high school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution
Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface as well as safely bend, stoop, and reach
Physically strenuous activities requiring ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis, bend or reach into awkward areas and positions
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in operating powered industrial equipment.
Familiarity with RF scanners and inventory management systems.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
