Job Description

1st shift

As a Materials Analyst, you’ll play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by ensuring the right materials are available at the right time—without excess cost or waste. You’ll use data, forecasting, and close supplier collaboration to support just-in-time operations, prevent downtime, and continuously improve material flow across the operation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, solving supply chain challenges, and making a visible impact on daily production performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Planning & Control: Monitor inventory levels and align material availability with production schedules using ERP/MRP systems.
  • Supplier Coordination: Partner with suppliers to track orders, manage material requirements, and proactively resolve delivery issues.
  • Data Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze historical demand and production data to forecast future material needs and support planning decisions.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to reduce material, storage, and transportation costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvements in procurement, inventory accuracy, and material flow to enhance operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring (Must-Haves)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field — or 2–3 years of equivalent experience as a Materials Analyst (JIT experience strongly preferred).
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QAD, along with inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, forecasting, and problem-solving skills, with solid proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
