Job Description and Duties

Under the general supervision of the Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, Correctional Facility (CF), the Materials and Stores Supervisor II, CF supervises the receipt, storage, issuance, inventory, and shipping of a wide variety of health care supplies and equipment.
The Materials and Stores Supervisor II, CF supervises, trains, and instructs lower level staff and may supervise inmates assigned to work in the warehouse and/or supply room, and submits periodic written appraisals of their conduct and productivity; maintains order and supervises the conduct of inmates, residents or patients, and protects and maintains the safety of persons and property.


Minimum Qualifications

Either I


One year of experience performing the duties of a Materials and Stores Supervisor I (Correctional Facility) or Materials and Stores Supervisor I in California state service.

Or II


Three years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse in work involving the receipt and issuance of a large volume of varied commodities (Experience in California state service applied toward this requirement must include at least one year in a class at a level of responsibility at least equivalent to Materials and Stores Supervisor I).
