Materials Coordinator - 1st shift

Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm EST
Pay Rate: $22.15 per hour

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Materials Coordinator to support distribution and material movement operations in a fast-paced environment. This role involves handling moderately complex assignments requiring sound judgment, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.

The ideal candidate will safely operate powered industrial equipment, maintain inventory accuracy, and support shipping, receiving, and distribution functions while working collaboratively to achieve team goals.

Materials Coordinator Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for safe and accurate loading and unloading of products within the distribution center.
• Use ERP systems (SAP) for location, storage, and movement of materials.
• Process customer orders including scanning bar codes, picking, and packaging.
• Maintain an acceptable work area according to SOP and work instructions.
• Ensure accuracy verification during shipment packaging.
• Operation of material handling equipment in compliance with safety standards.
• Train and implement functions in SAP as required.

Materials Coordinator Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of similar related experience required
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic math calculations
• Experienced operating material handling equipment Including but not limited to Order Pickers, Reach Trucks, Counter Balance (slip and clamp), and Dock Stocker
• Forklift certification required or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
• Basic computer proficiency within a Windows environment
• Ability to operate packaging equipment and shipping systems (UPS or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize deviations from standard practices
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong decision-making and organizational skills

Materials Coordinator Physical Requirements

• Lift and move:
• 5–25 lbs continuously
• 25–60 lbs frequently
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform warehouse duties throughout shift

Materials Coordinator Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum 3 years of warehouse or material handling experience required
• SAP experience
