ROLE OVERVIEW This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year-round . DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees the delivery of aggregate materials for both internal and external customers. Manages pit-to-pit material movements across aggregate, ready mix, and asphalt business. Ensures all work complies with federal and state regulations, accepted principles of design and engineering, and approved budgets. Represents the department at meetings with internal teams, customers, and other stakeholders to communicate plans and operational activities. Addresses and resolves employee and customer concerns as they arise. Ensures accurate reporting and documentation of material deliveries and internal transfers, including proper ticketing and inventory recording. Assists in developing annual operating budgets and maintains delivery operations within budgeted parameters. Participates in the hiring, onboarding, and training of newly hired truck drivers. Collaborates with all product lines to determine appropriate truck needs and improve delivery efficiency and cost effectiveness. Troubleshoots operational issues, including material quality concerns and equipment operation or repair needs, and communicates production challenges to managers and coworkers. Ensures compliance with MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, and other safety or environmental regulations, including proper Lockout/Tagout procedures. Performs other duties assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Communicates effectively in verbal, written, and active listening formats. Works professionally with difficult individuals, even in high‑stress situations. Self‑motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills. Maintains positive customer relations through courteous and respectful interactions. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Over 2 years up to and including 4 years from post high school, work, military, institutional or vocational experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in product line. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS Dispatch experience. Management experience. Industry knowledge.
