What You Will Do

This posting is for a Materials Management Support 3 position located in the Materials Management Group (LOG-MM) of the Logistics Division. As a member of the Customer Service Receiving Team, the Materials Management Support 3 will work under the direct supervision of the Receiving Team Leader. The team member will provide support and be primarily responsible for assisting customers with coordinating the receipt of small packages at SM-30. Responsibilities will also include accepting incoming shipments, processing those shipments, and supporting other LOG-MM receiving functions as needed. Responsibilities also include but are not limited to physical acceptance of incoming shipments purchase orders, purchase card shipments, name only packages, and Oracle BOA's.

What You Need

Minimum Job Requirements:
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks and dollies.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Ability to sort incoming material for distribution.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including a commitment to teamwork, and encouraging open communication skills.
  • Ability to organize tasks, make decisions, take initiative, and assume responsibility.
  • Commitment to safety, security, environment, quality, and diversity in the workplace.
  • Ability to obtain a Q clearance.

Education/Experience: Position requires 2-4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience directly related to the occupation. At this level, additional training, certification, and/or education may be desirable.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity of LOG-MM Receiving and Customer Service operations.
  • Familiarity of LANL drop points.
  • Familiarity with LANL operational and administrative policies and procedures.
  • Familiarity with LANL sites and facilities.
  • Familiarity with Oracle, Gemini, Take Supply and other LANL based operating systems.
  • Active Q Clearance.
