By empowering our people, reducing waste, and developing innovative and efficient systems, we support the communities and resources that spur the industries and technologies of the future.Position Overview: The Materials Manager will develop and maintain plant processes and procedures to manage inventory and materials within the plant to AOP level to improve on-time deliveries to customers.Primary Responsibilities & Duties:Inventory Management to AOP PlanOrder management of Customer orders and demands/EDI ordersResponsible for managing ERP system parameter settings that drive material planning requirements in pursuit of continuously improving inventory turns without disrupting manufacturing schedulesPlanning raw material and supply chain to ensure plant production needs are metManage Excess & Obsolete Inventory Review and dispositionTroubleshoot logistic demands for both customers and suppliersDrive value added activities with the plant personnel and engineering to improve material yield and reduce scrapProactively work with Corporate Sourcing and Material Planning groups to achieve successful and timely PPAP approvals of new suppliers/products.
