Materials Manager

Minimum 3 years of Materials Management Experience

Venteon is currently seeking an experienced Materials Manager to fill an opening with a Tier 1 Manufacturing Company located in West Point, GA. Must have experience with automotive materials and leadership. Experience managing a JIT facility is required.

Requirements of the Materials Manager

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or a related field
• 5+ years in a Materials supervisory role
• Strong background in JIT operations
• Strong SAP experience
• Experience in highly automated environments

Responsibilities of the Materials Manager

• The Materials Manager is responsible for managing incoming and outbound material, inventory levels, demand planning and personnel management within the facility
• Assures adequate staffing and training to execute material flow needs.
• Complete the departmental training and development plan annually.
• Complete the annual performance review of each direct report and review any indirect reports for each team member in the Materials Department.
• Continuous improvement of material flow thorughout the plant
• Work with vendors and internal teams to monitor and optimize inventory
