JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Downtown Campus of Moravian Academy is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced

teacher to join our seventh grade faculty as a paternity leave teacher for the second half of the

2023-24 school year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching pre-algebra and

algebra 1 from March 18 until April 19.
Moravian Academy teachers are also expected to attend faculty

meetings and assist with school events.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Education or Mathematics Degree
  • Classroom teaching experience; 3-year minimum preferred
  • Experience in explicit math instruction
  • Competence in connecting with students and creating a healthy classroom community
  • Competence in connecting with parents
  • Organized and purposeful about materials and lesson plans
  • Collaboration with faculty and administration
  • Excellence in classroom management techniques

Moravian Academy, located in historic Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, is a Preschool through 12th-grade

co-educational college preparatory school and the ninth oldest independent school in the United
