A well‑established modular building manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical/Plumbing Engineer to join our Henderson, NV team. You’ll use Autodesk Revit to design mechanical and plumbing systems for commercial, multifamily, hospitality, office, and residential modular buildings. Work includes potable water, sewer waste, stormwater drainage, fire suppression, HVAC/VRF systems, and coordinated construction documents for fabrication.

This role is ideal for engineers with 5–10+ years of building‑systems design experience, strong Revit skills, and the ability to guide designers and drafters. Licensure in NV/CA/TX/AZ—or the ability to obtain it—is preferred.

Requirements

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities

  • Design and engineer modular, prefabricated structures.
  • Design systems for potable water, sewer waste, stormwater drainage and fire suppression.
  • Prepare design drawings with CAD software.
  • Prepare estimates and budgets.
  • Create accurate project specifications.
  • Create technical reports.
  • Complete regulatory documents concerning safety issues.
  • Conduct quality assurance assessments.

Required Experience

  • PE licensure in Nevada, California, Texas, and/or Arizona is preferred, though not required. Candidates should be able to obtain licensure in these states.
  • Proficiency with Revit by Autodesk required.
  • Experience in commercial, multi-family/hotel, restaurant, office and residential mechanical & plumbing design. This includes packaged units, mini-split systems, VRFs, plumbing systems design, etc.
  • Ability to lead/direct a team of designers & drafters to produce specific disciplined drawings.
  • Innovative thinking beyond traditional ground-up/stick-built construction is required.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related area preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.

Working Conditions

  • For Full-Time employees, expect to work an 8-hour shift on average, including weekends if necessary.
  • Reliably commute to Henderson, Nevada, or plan to relocate to the local area before starting work.
