Job Description We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Pittsburgh (Cheswick) location. Your Responsibilities Design and analyze electro‑mechanical components and systems; develop drawings and specifications for new and modified designs. Support manufacturing and testing of electro‑mechanical equipment. Conduct studies and testing on new and modified designs. Provide engineering design, maintenance support and training for new products and equipment. Assess new and existing equipment to optimize design efficiency, safety, quality, and cost effectiveness. Design and conduct experiments, collect and interpret data, analyse results, and write test reports. Plan, coordinate, and execute engineering activities including documentation and presentations. Design new equipment and machinery; assist with building, installing, debugging and testing to ensure production capabilities. Determine maintenance schedules, procedures, and safety standards for current and new equipment. Determine technical objectives and develop innovative, practical solutions to advance technical engineering problems; support failure investigations and bid responses. Ability to create models and drawings, present design reviews, and perform trade studies; coordinate multiple project responsibilities; team player; knowledge of MS Office Suite. Ability to perform analysis and studies with strong attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment. Must be sole US citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DOD security clearance.
