This position requires a keen focus on delivering projects on time and within budget while ensuring mechanical functionality across various assignments. Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential, encompassing skills in modeling, assemblies, drawings, sheet metal, weldments, BOMs, and configurations. The engineer must effectively communicate with project teams, peers, and management to ensure all design directions and changes are clear. Responsibilities also include entering BOMs into ERP software and conducting thorough research on automation system components. Adherence to quality and safety standards is paramount, along with an understanding of mechanical and fluid power principles. The engineer will strive for manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and enhanced assembly times while considering aesthetics when feasible, helping to develop and uphold essential processes and procedures. To excel as a Mechanical Design Engineer at CNC Solutions LLC, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office products, underscoring their technical acumen. A minimum of 5 years of experience in designing custom equipment—such as robotic systems, material handling solutions, and special machines—is essential. A mechanical design or engineering degree is preferred, as it provides a foundation for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing projects from inception to completion, including fabrications, sheet metal work, and tooling.
