Background RequirementsRequired Capabilities• Exposure or experience with part design and assembly modeling techniques using 3D CAD software• Ability to work in a hands-on environment assembling and repairing equipment• Basic proficiency with PCs in a Windows environment including Microsoft Office• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbalAdditional Requirements• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint, CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Finite Element Analysis, etc.• Experience building process flow diagrams and process & instrumentation diagrams, as well as building mass-energy balances for processing plants. Working knowledge and experience with process simulation software is a plus• Strong and independent problem-solving skills. Experience with diagnosing issues using failure analysis techniques and recommending solutionsEducation Requirements• Minimum education requirement, Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 - 5 years of industry experience. Job Responsibilities• Design mechanical systems and assemblies from concept to production using 3D CAD software.• Assist in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical products and systems. • Preform simple and routine engineering design tasks, • Assist more senior engineers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports. • Perform design and production trials • Participate in design review presentations• Contribute to R&D efforts to facilitate ongoing product development.• Thoroughly document your work in accordance with company policy• Effectively communicate the status and results of projects to managers and executives regularly through verbal and written communication.
