TITLE: Mechanical Design Engineer Comp: From $33.88-$52.88/hr Location: Richmond, INOur client is seeking immediate assistance in identifying a candidate for a Mechanical Design Engineer direct hire position in Richmond, IN Responsibilities:Develops concepts, designs, detailed drawings, and engineering simulations for custom automated equipment, tooling, dies, molds, and fixtures.Applies advanced design techniques and mechanical engineering knowledge across systems including prime movers, conveyors, material handling equipment, transmission components, vision systems, sensors, and electrical instrumentation.Applies expertise in GD&T, safety and ergonomics, industrial engineering methods, manufacturing processes, and control systems.Specifies and selects appropriate off-the-shelf components for integration into equipment designs.Produces technical documentation for operator manuals and instructional use.Revises and redlines engineering drawings as needed.Develops sequence-of-operations charts and powered element diagrams.Participates in equipment debug, development, and troubleshooting.Collaborates with engineers, designers, and management to gather requirements, provide updates, and ensure project alignment.Required Skills & Qualifications:5+ years of experience in industrial machinery design Associate’s degree or higher in ENG.
