The Mechanical Design Engineer shall have robust full life cycle project management experience with proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and Vault. The ideal candidate will have a background in automation and tooling, and will be capable of managing complex projects from conception through to completion.

  • Design and Development: Create detailed mechanical designs and CAD models using Autodesk Inventor for a variety of projects including automation systems and tooling.
  • Project Management: Lead full life cycle projects from initial concept through design, manufacturing, testing, and implementation. Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Automation and Tooling: Develop innovative automation solutions and tooling designs to improve manufacturing processes and product quality.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prototyping and Testing: Oversee the creation of prototypes, conduct testing and analysis, and implement design iterations based on test results.
  • Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, engineering reports, and user manuals.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical guidance and support to production teams during the manufacturing process

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical design and project management.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and Vault. Experience with other CAD software is a plus.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage full life cycle projects with a track record of successful project delivery.
  • Automation and Tooling: Experience in designing automation systems and tooling solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to present complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
