Mechanical Design Engineer Solidex Division Apply

This is a hybrid work-from-home/office opportunity. The ideal candidate will live in the Louisiana/Texas area and be able to travel to Baton Rouge on occasion. No relocation costs are being offered.
Apply engineering principles to evaluate designs and determine critical components. Perform necessary design engineering calculations to meet product specifications and ensure proper product function and reliability.

- Review loading systems and incorporate necessary integrated components to maximize function and efficiency.
- Review project specifications and coordinate with manufacturing for project-specific requirements.
- Determine the best course of action to complete orders.
- Prioritize workload using Syteline ERP software to manage project timelines, resources, and documentation.
- Design components and assemblies in AutoCAD and SolidWorks to ensure adherence to engineering standards and client specifications.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and control systems.
- Should possess knowledge of standard drafting practices.
- Should possess a basic understanding of manufacturing processes and apply them to the structure of bills of materials.
- Communicate effectively orally and in writing, including interaction with the sales and manufacturing departments and development of technical documents (instruction manuals, technical bulletins, etc.)
- Aid customers in the form of troubleshooting via communication and onsite visits.
- Participate in sales efforts and project meetings.
- Possess the ability to manage multiple product lines from a technical perspective.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience. Good verbal communication skills, good problem solving, ability to interact with people and ability to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision. Knowledge of Dry Bulk material handling processes.
Preferred experience in Petrochemical Industry system design, and plastic pellet production and loading.
This position is a full-time, Hybrid, salaried exempt position.
