PURPOSE/FUNCTION/SUMMARY (TRAINING NEEDS) Design and launch innovative machines for working with sheet metal. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs SolidWorks based modeling/drafting for part and finish drawings; generate layouts. Design and detail of automated and manual type machines. Eager and motivated to accomplish company goals and work with minimal supervision to complete project deadlines. Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Assembly on new and existing products. Assembly and testing of prototypes. Troubleshooting problems and finding the best solution. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or 3 or more years of Machine Design Experience. Experience with sheet metal or automated machines. Experience/Skills: FEA and SolidWorks a must; Inventor a plus. Knowledge of GD&T. Microsoft Office. Highly detailed and organized. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must. Good knowledge of industrial machinery design is desired. Ability to handle multiple projects and to adapt to changing priorities.
