Fives Group is looking for an experienced Mechanical Designer to join our team in Columbus, OH. Position Summary Conceptual and detailed design of custom equipment, machinery, fixtures, tooling and industrial automation. Complete mechanical aptitude needed to design, build, ship and service products. Job Responsibilities Provide general design support for all projects as required using Solidworks Design equipment to meet internal and customer requirements/specifications and key project milestone dates within the quoted budget and scope Add and update items within Bill of Materials in ERP/MRP system Attend and conduct customer design reviews Assist in compiling documentation Provide technical assistance to Estimating, Sales, Production and Service, as required Work collaboratively and communicate effectively in team environment, which may involve Machine (builders), Project Management, Engineering Teams, Management and support functions; and Other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Associate's degree in design, technology, engineering is preferred 2+ years of mechanical design experience Very strong mechanical aptitude Experience with AutoCAD (Inventor) and/or Solidworks Benefits: Hired employees will receive great benefits along with an extremely competitive compensation package.
