We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer [Casting/Metallurgy] at our aerospace location in Rockford, ILL. The primary focus of this role is to support casting function by forecasting and tracking processes to ensure OTD of parts. Duties & Responsibilities:Partner with team members for to drive casting manufacturer development and project costsProvide engineering technical support for Castings activities therefore reducing casting product cost.Develop plans for every part number supporting procurement with supplier decisions and developmentThe ideal candidate will have the following combination of Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering/metallurgy or related field or in lieu of degree a minimum of 8 years’ experience in casting producibility or similar rolesPreferred disciplines include Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing EngineeringMust be able to read blueprints and conceptualize product configurationsAdditive manufacturing experience helpfulMust be a self-starter, manage time effectively and meet deliverable deadlinesDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate specific requirements with suppliers and monitor the overall development process at supplier endDue to the nature of work being performed you must be a US CitizenAnnual Salary: $80K to $120K, DOE Benefits begin on day one:401(k) matchingDental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insuranceEmployer paid Life Insurance, Short- & Long-Term Disability 100% onsite, Rockford ILL Quest Global is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
