Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a contract job with a client in Batesville, IN(Hybrid). This role involves implementing design changes for mechanical components and supporting cross-functional teams through product development lifecycles.
Rate Range: $41/hour to 43/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Mechanical Engineer job responsibilities include:
Perform design analysis and implement engineering releases for mechanical components and assemblies.
Develop and update product documentation, including feasibility assessments, DFMEA, risk analysis, and cost estimates.
Support multiple projects simultaneously, collaborating with cross-functional teams including quality, regulatory, and manufacturing.
Apply technical tools and concepts to improve product performance and support design changes.
Communicate proactively with stakeholders, sharing technical knowledge and guiding team members in areas of expertise.
Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to continuous improvement and innovation.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology from an accredited institution.
Minimum of 2 years of engineering experience in product design or development.
Proficiency in mechanical design tools and processes, including Solid Edge and tolerance stack-up analysis.
Experience with documentation and risk analysis tools such as DFMEA, root cause analysis, and FDA regulatory standards.

Pay Details: $41.00 to $43.00 per hour
