Location: Falconer, NY

Salary: $85,000 – $125,000 per year with benefits

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to support the design, development, and improvement of mechanical systems and components within a manufacturing environment. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions, support production processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical design skills, manufacturing knowledge, and the ability to manage projects from concept through production.


Key Responsibilities

Design and Development

  • Design and refine mechanical components using CAD software
  • Develop prototypes and support testing to validate design functionality
  • Ensure designs meet technical specifications and performance requirements
  • Support product development and engineering change activities

Analysis and Problem-Solving

  • Analyze mechanical systems and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams to resolve technical issues
  • Communicate project status and technical findings to stakeholders
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables

Manufacturing Support

  • Support transition of new components into production
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and production challenges
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Work closely with production teams to support daily operations

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation and technical drawings
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and quality management systems
  • Support documentation control and engineering change processes


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong communication and organizational skills


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in precision machining or manufacturing environments
  • Experience supporting production or process improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge of CNC machining processes
  • Experience in regulated manufacturing environments (e.g., defense, aerospace)
  • Prior leadership or project coordination experience
