Our corporate headquarters in Grandview, MO (20 minutes south of Kansas City, MO) includes a world-class, global test lab for new designs and product validations.What You Will Do:As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for the growing demand within our Louver products department, including a variety of high velocity, wind-driven rain, and hurricane impact applications. You will develop turnkey product designs from sales concepts into mass production.Key Responsibilities:Review sales plans to understand the scope of work and customer needs.Determine design feasibility, specifications, objectives, and forecast a predictable trial schedule.Develop trial build instructions and validate quality control methods, including witness lab testing/builds.Design for manufacturing based on plant capabilities.Develop ease of installation instructions along with product improvements.Provide technical guidance and apply sound engineering principles.Develop lab test scope of work and follow through with reports to explain product performance.Maintain high attention to detail and solid organizational skills.Make, read, and analyze drawing designs, understanding stack-up tolerances and press fits.Demonstrate the ability to work in team environments, with good written and oral communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability to changing situations.Qualifications Required:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.Proficiency in 3D CAD to generate innovative ideas and alterations.Ability to apply fundamental engineering theories, mathematics, mechanics, and physical science concepts.Preferred Qualifications:Experience with Inventor CAD 3D & Vault.Manufacturing experience with welding, assembly, and machine shops.Project management skills.Experience with 3D printing.Who We Are:At Air Distribution Technologies, we are shaping the future to create a world that is safe, comfortable, and sustainable.
