Description Leidos has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer will provide engineering support to US Army programs at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ to include development of new materials and concepts in propulsion for enhanced performance. Primary Responsibilities Responsible for conducting and supporting R&D activities for the development of novel materials of interest to the US Army Develop and demonstrate novel technologies for the additive manufacturing (AM) of energetic materials Expected to develop knowledge and understanding of energetics and perform various testing and analyses to characterize materials using state of the art methods for chemical and physical behavior. Basic Qualifications BS Mechanical Engineering plus 0+ years of experience Demonstrated knowledge of engineering software (design and modeling and simulation) tools US Citizenship required Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance Preferred Qualifications Prior hands-on experience with AM and knowledge of energetic materials Pay Range Pay Range $57,850.00 - $104,575.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
