Your Role• Performing mechanical (HVAC) design for a variety of projects, including but not limited to buildings and facilities (hospitals, laboratories, high-rise residential, hotel, office, and other commercial and institutional projects• Working alongside commissioning engineers, and at times leading efforts for building infrastructure reviews and retro-commissioning opportunities that are focused on energy conservation and improved operation.• Incorporating design changes using AutoCAD and/or Revit software• Meeting project schedules and performing work within budgetary constraints• Attending meetings with architects, owners, and building managers to discuss future or current projects• Reviewing submittals and providing responses to Requests for Information• Conducting activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards• Pursuing continuous professional development and maintaining a high degree of discipline knowledge and awarenessQualifications• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering• Eight to 15 years of experience in the design of building HVAC systems for healthcare, higher education, high-rise residential, hotel, and office buildings, and other commercial, institutional facilities.• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit software• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)• Excellent technical skills, strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills• Comprehensive knowledge and interpretation of code compliance requirements and industry standards• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and in a highly collaborative team environment• PE registration is highly preferred, or EIT with the ability to obtain a PE• Willingness and ability to travel as needed
