Concept Group specializes in the design, development, and manufacturing of high-performance thermal insulation using patented and proprietary technologies including Insulon® vacuum insulation, multi-layer insulation, and other compatible materials. Concept Group serves a variety of industries including aerospace, automotive, consumer devices, energy, health care/medical, and more. The position: Seeking a highly motivated, hands-on engineer to join our team. You will be part of a talented and innovative group of engineers who collaborate to develop unique, high-performance thermal solutions for a global clientele. This position offers an opportunity to work on the entire lifecycle of a product – from conceptual development to manufacturing at scale.Responsibilities: Leverage Insulon® Technology to develop effective solutions for complex thermal challenges.Execute assigned engineering projects by following established standard operating procedures.Consult with managers to develop project plans and strategies.Design, build, and test prototypes for assigned projects.Develop and execute thermal tests to qualify/validate product performance.Follow design guidelines to develop manufacturing-friendly products.Provide engineering support to the manufacturing teamContinuous improvement projectsDesigning assembly and test systems and implementing technical changes to designCreating work instructions, process flow charts, and other supporting documentsInterface with Operations, Quality and Procurement personnelCommunicate with clients as the primary engineering point of contact for assigned projects.Work closely with clients to develop a holistic and intricate understanding of their product’s thermal challenges and requirements.Contribute to the advancement of Insulon® and other proprietary technologies through creative thinking, independent research, and methodical experimentation.Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited four-year college or university0-3 year(s) experience in thermal engineering applicationsComprehensive understanding of heat transfer principlesStrong mechanical aptitude: ability to conceptualize and create mechanical designsExperience with SolidWorks; other CAD software experience acceptableCreating and interpreting detailed engineering drawingsExperience with FEA/CFD tools is desirableAbility to work in a fast paced, collaborative environment with attention to detailDesire to work in a combination of office and shop floor environmentsFluency in written and verbal technical communicationExperience with electronic controls and mechanical systems is desirableBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, AD&D eligible after 90 days of successful employment.401K plan available after 90 days of service2 weeks of paid vacation (pro-rated)All major Holidays paidJob Type: Full-timeSalary: Commensurate with experience
