Job Title: Mechanical Engineer Job Description Field Service Engineers conduct a broad range of inspection, engineering, and supervisory tasks in support of in‑house testing, installation, start‑up, and service/repair of a full range of industrial equipment. Responsibilities Conduct inspections and supervise engineering tasks related to industrial equipment. Support installation, start‑up, and repair services for motor‑controlled hydraulic and pneumatic machinery. Troubleshoot PLCs and other control systems. Interpret and work with electrical schematics and blueprints. Assist companies with the installation of new systems. Write project plans, test plans, and equipment manuals. Essential Skills Field Service Engineering experience with hydraulic and pneumatic industrial machines. Ability to troubleshoot PLCs. Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints. Strong communication skills for assisting with installations. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS Degree in Engineering is preferred. Experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, electrical – PLC, motor controls, and sensors. Willingness to travel extensively, up to 70%, both domestically and internationally. Work Environment When not traveling, work takes place onsite in an office setting with the Field Service team of about five people. Travel involves visiting various international and domestic locations, including China, Japan, and India, which may have language barriers and hot or dirty industrial environments. In the US, travel to customer locations is required, primarily within foundries. All locations maintain safety standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westampton, NJ. Pay And Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $33.65/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
