Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and developing product layouts using industry-standard CAD software while adhering to GD&T principles. They must have a strong understanding of mechanical components, feature analysis, and product development. Experience with CAD design is required, and CAM knowledge is a plus. This role also involves working on the shop floor to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues, ensuring high-quality production outcomes.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, drafting, and developing product layouts using industry-standard CAD software while adhering to GD&T principles.

Responsibilities:

• Design & Drafting: Create, modify, and optimize product layouts using NX and other CAD tools based on customer specifications and engineering best practices.
• Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T): Apply and interpret GD&T standards to ensure manufacturability and compliance with design requirements.
• Feature Analysis & Product Testing: Assess design feasibility through tolerance analysis, FEA, and prototyping.
• Troubleshooting & Shop Floor Support: Work closely with manufacturing teams to identify and resolve issues related to machining, assembly, and quality control.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
