Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer with strong proficiency in CAD drafting and a passion for enhancing manufacturing processes. The ideal candidate will support the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems and components, while working closely with production teams to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve product quality.Key Responsibilities:Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings for mechanical components and assemblies using software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Inventor.Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure designs meet functional, manufacturable, and cost-effective standards.Analyze existing manufacturing workflows and implement improvements to increase efficiency, reduce cycle times, and minimize defects.Support the development of tooling, jigs, and fixtures to aid in assembly and production.Participate in design reviews, prototyping, and testing activities.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues.Assist in the documentation of engineering procedures, specifications, and work instructions.Stay current with industry trends, manufacturing technologies, and best practices.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor).Strong understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, injection molding, and assembly techniques.Experience with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.Preferred Experience:2+ years of experience in a mechanical engineering role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).Experience with ERP systems and engineering change management.Work Environment:This position may involve time spent in both an office setting and on the production floor. Occasional travel to suppliers or manufacturing sites may be required.
