Job Title: Mechanical Engineer III (Prototype & Design)

📍 Location: Onsite (5 days/week)

📅 Duration: 12 Months (Extension/Conversion Possible)

🕒 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM


About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer III to join a highly collaborative engineering team focused on rapid prototyping and innovative product development. In this role, you will work closely with engineers and technicians to design, build, and iterate mechanical concepts for next-generation systems.

This is a hands-on opportunity ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and enjoys turning ideas into functional prototypes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components using 3D CAD (MCAD) tools
  • Create detailed 2D drawings and technical documentation
  • Build and test rapid prototypes for mechanical assemblies, especially for electronics integration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to iterate designs quickly
  • Support tooling development for both prototype and production stages
  • Maintain design data using PLM systems
  • Participate in Agile workflows and project tracking


Required Qualifications

  • 4–5 years of experience in mechanical design and prototyping
  • Strong experience with MCAD software (3D modeling & 2D drafting)
  • Hands-on experience in mechanical prototyping and assembly, especially with electronics
  • Experience with rapid prototyping tools and production tooling
  • Associate degree required (bachelor’s preferred)

  • Ability to simplify complex designs and iterate quickly
  • Ownership mentality and attention to detail
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
