Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Painted Post NY

Duration: 12 months | Potential to extend

Shift :- 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM M-F


Responsibilities :-

  • Design and develop process equipment, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, and materials science
  • Lead procurement of equipment and coordinate with vendors and machine shops
  • Oversee and participate in assembly, installation, start-up, and debugging of equipment
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including process, electrical, controls, metrology, facilities, IT, and operations
  • Support early-stage development by troubleshooting and optimizing equipment performance
  • Develop detailed design concepts, drawings, and documentation for custom equipment
  • Ensure equipment meets performance, safety, and operational requirements


Requirements:-

  • BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or Mechanical Technology
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, with focus on:
  • Roll-to-roll web-conveyance system design
  • Thermal equipment design
  • Structural and thermal FEA modeling
  • Experience with mechanical equipment design, installation, start-up, and debugging
  • Ability to manage end-to-end equipment design lifecycle (concept to final implementation)
  • Experience working with machine shops and procurement processes
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM Vault
  • Strong problem-solving and independent working ability in evolving environments
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Familiarity with electrical, controls, and process engineering disciplines
