Overview

Mechanical Engineer responsible for design, development, installation, and start-up/debug of process equipment in a cross-functional manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop process equipment from concept through detailed engineering
• Lead procurement, assembly, installation, and commissioning of custom equipment
• Support start-up, testing, and debugging in early-stage development environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (process, electrical, controls, operations, etc.)
• Manage full equipment lifecycle: problem definition, design, and documentation

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
• 3+ years of manufacturing experience

Strong knowledge of:

• Roll-to-roll/web-conveyance system design
• Thermal equipment design
• Structural and thermal FEA modeling
• Experience with mechanical design, installation, start-up, and debugging
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and EPDM Vault
• Experience working with machine shops and managing equipment procurement
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently in evolving environments

Travel

• Minimal travel (~10%)
