Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in robotics and a focus on powertrain systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of industry experience and possess advanced technical skills in mechanical design, powertrain development, and robotics integration.
In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and systems for advanced robotics applications. You'll be responsible for ensuring high performance, efficiency, and reliability across various mechanical systems, particularly focusing on powertrain components such as transmissions, gears, and drivetrains.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with electrical and software engineering teams to integrate mechanical systems into larger robotics platforms.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and simulations to validate mechanical designs.
  • Perform detailed analysis, including FEA (Finite Element Analysis), to ensure structural integrity and performance.
  • Develop prototypes, conduct testing, and refine designs based on test results.
  • Lead design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to mechanical systems during the product development lifecycle.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety protocols, and quality requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, particularly in robotics, automation, or related industries.
  • Experience with powertrain systems (e.g., transmissions, drivetrains, gears).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, including kinematics, thermodynamics, and fluid dynamics.
  • Experience with FEA tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) for structural and thermal analysis.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with robotic actuators, sensors, and control systems.
  • Hands-on experience with robotic arms or mobile robots.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, 3D printing, and injection molding.
