Skills The Mechanical Engineering internship is an exciting opportunity to leverage and expand your skillset in the Aerospace Industry. At Parker FSD‑H we specialize in developing Aircraft fuel gauging and fuel inerting systems which include: Embedded software (bare-metal development) Electronics Mechanical Responsibilities Under the direction and guidance of senior technical resources, one will be expected to execute small to medium engineering tasks ranging from 3D modeling, drafting, Engineering Change Request and simple conventional/FEA analyses. Generate part and assembly 3D models Draft drawings of new components Review potential changes for concurrence, develop change substantiation and generate Engineering Change Requests for approval Perform conventional structural or FEA analyses as needed Interface with the production team on quality issues or needed engineering changes to determine path forward Qualifications Must be currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering, with a minimum GPA of 3.3. Must be in Junior or Senior year of Bachelor’s program or a current Graduate student. Applicable Experience Includes Basic 3D modeling and drafting knowledge in any software package (CATIA preferred) Familiar with drafting standards per ASME Y14.100 Knowledge of basic structural FEA analyses in ANSYS Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Please note that this position is ineligible for relocation assistance.
