Mechanical Piping Engineer Waynesboro, Georgia, United States - Onsite Pay: $60-$67/hr on W2 Duration: 3+ years We’re hiring a senior mechanical engineer with over 20 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. A professional engineer license is desired. Responsibilities Lead mechanical design activities for small and medium retrofit, environmental, and new generation projects Develop pipe sizing and routing, material selection, pipe support design, valve selection, P&ID development, equipment layout, equipment specifications, and hydraulic calculations Provide technical direction to designers and develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets Make sound independent decisions with minimal information and assist in checkout and startup of systems when necessary Qualifications Significant experience designing new construction or retrofits for power generation or heavy industrial facilities Extensive knowledge of mechanical engineering design principles and applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements Experience in development, preparation, and checking of P&IDs, piping system layout, and hydraulic calculations Proficiency with Pipe-Flo or similar software and a solid working knowledge of process equipment (piping, valves, pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers) Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff, and vendors Professional engineer license preferred Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Design, Engineering, Manufacturing Industries Oil & Gas, Natural Gas Distribution, Mining Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at LanceSoft, Inc. by 2x #J-18808-Ljbffr
