Mechanical Project Manager (HVAC/R) Location: Wilmington, MA (Greater Boston Area) Salary: $110,000 - $150,000 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial HVAC/R projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role is responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and client relationships while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience with HVAC, industrial refrigeration, or mission‑critical mechanical systems and is comfortable managing projects ranging from service‑related upgrades to complex design‑build installations. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects meet performance expectations while supporting our reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and high system uptime. We have been delivering energy‑efficient HVAC/R system engineering, design‑build services, proactive maintenance, and emergency response solutions since 1996. The company supports clients across industries such as food processing, cold storage, life sciences, data centers, and other mission‑critical environments where system reliability and compliance are essential. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial and industrial HVAC/R projects from preconstruction through completion Coordinate with field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, and clients Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls Oversee installation of HVAC, refrigeration, piping, and mechanical systems Review project drawings and specifications to ensure scope accuracy and constructability Adapt to evolving project conditions, schedules, and design changes Track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation Manage procurement of equipment including compressors, chillers, and long‑lead mechanical systems Monitor project progress, system performance, and installation quality Support commissioning, startup, and system performance verification Qualifications 3+ years of experience in mechanical project management (HVAC/R or refrigeration‑focused) Experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical construction projects Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems, including refrigeration, compressors, and piping systems Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and mechanical specifications Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and multiple projects simultaneously Candidates that complete skills assessments and screening questions will receive priority consideration in the hiring process.
