Position Overview:
Aemetis Biogas LLC seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Technician to join our Maintenance team. In this critical role, you will ensure the reliability and performance of essential systems, including HVAC, gas compressors, chillers, and electric motors. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in industrial maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

· Perform maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment, including motors, pumps, compressors, blowers, and pneumatics.

· Interpret and apply knowledge from P&IDs, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

· Work with AC/DC motor controls (480VAC to 24VDC) and VFDs.

· Conduct root cause analysis for operational issues and implement effective solutions.

· Execute preventive maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.

· Operate industrial mobile equipment (forklifts, scissor lifts) and maintain tool readiness.

· Share technical expertise with team members and operations personnel.

· Adhere to safety protocols and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.

Education/Experience:

· Experience: 3-5 years in industrial or manufacturing maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems.

· Technical Expertise: Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment; familiar with boiler systems, gas processing, or wastewater systems.

· Skills: Strong aptitude in measurements, calibrations, and mechanical specifications; ability to solve technical problems independently.

· Certifications (Preferred): HVAC-related credentials such as EPA or NATE.

· Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications:

· Excellent organizational skills

· Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and components, along with general mechanical troubleshooting skills applicable to a variety of facility systems

· Detail-oriented with strong multi-tasking abilities

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing as part of a team

· Valid driver's license

· Flexibility to work different shifts and overtime, including potential short-term and long-term shift reassignment as needed by the business.
