Position: Mechanical Technician

RLE International USA is currently looking for a mechanical technician to work on the build of a series of prototype vehicles at our workshop facility in Romulus, MI.

Position Description:

An overall appreciation for the whole vehicle including any past history of chassis component assembly and installation, and general vehicle assembly would be advantageous.

• The key areas which the mechanical technician would be working on would include the removal and installation of vehicle components.

Qualifications:

• Vehicle disassembly and assembly (powertrain, exterior, interior)
• Manage parts inventory and accurately execute Build Sheets
• Communication with team and customer
• Provide own tools and work with minimum instruction
• Troubleshoot vehicle wiring
• Tear down and rebuild of complete vehicle assemblies
• Steering and Suspension installation
• Brake line re-build and installation
• Vacuum and refill A/C systems
• Drain, fill and bleed coolant systems

Physical Requirements:

• Continuous standing, walking, bending.
• Repetitive lifting up to 35lbs.
• Occasional lifting to 75lbs.
