Mechanical Technician Apply
The Mechanical Technician ensures nursery vehicles and equipment remain operational so the nursery can produce high-quality fruit and nut trees for orchardists across the country. Key Responsibilities Perform welding, fabrication, and repairs on metal and other materials. Service and maintain company vehicles, tractors, and mechanical equipment. Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, brakes, clutches, carburetors, and related components. Troubleshoot and repair electrical and hydraulic systems. Replace and repair parts such as tires, bearings, gaskets, pistons, and starters. Maintain service and maintenance records for vehicles and equipment. Keep work areas clean and assist with general facility upkeep. Perform general maintenance tasks including carpentry, painting, plumbing, and welding. Follow company safety policies and report safety concerns. Qualifications Intermediate knowledge of mechanical systems, tools, and equipment repair. Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Ability to safely operate hand and power tools. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work with minimal supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Education & Experience No formal education required. Experience in agriculture, equipment maintenance, or mechanical repair preferred. Equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered. This position requires lifting, bending, climbing, and operating tools and equipment. Work may occur in varying outdoor conditions including heat, cold, dust, and noise. #J-18808-Ljbffr
