Here, you can do the work that matters.”Why this Role?- This role will further develop a candidate’s experience in data collection, management, analysis, research methods, and process development.- Client Precision Seals are used in almost every Client machine, providing networking opportunities with Drivetrain, Undercarriage and machine business divisions- Projects will expose engineers to many key Client processes, including New Product/Process Introduction (NPI), Continuous Product Improvement (CPI), New Technology Introduction (NTI), cost reduction, engineering design systems, and key data analytics solutions. - The Client Precision Seals design team is co-located with the validation team, enabling additional opportunities to learn about the design impact and influence on performance- The Client Mapleton facility is also located nearby, where many of the seals are manufactured. This enables close collaboration and familiarity with the manufacturing influence on performanceTypical task breakdown:- Prepare/Startup test equipment for the day- Organize samples for testing and execute necessary pre-test and post-test measurements- Document results and findings for review with design and test teamInteraction with team: - Review results from tests- Participate in standup meetings, adjust daily tasks as needed- Communicate any needs or roadblocks- Participate in weekly update meetings with leadershipWork environment: - Split time between lab (executing and setting up tests) and office (reviewing data and summarizing results) 50/50 - PPE: * Steel toed boots* Safety glasses* Hearing protectionEducation & Experience Required: - Bachelor's degree in engineering required.- 0-2 years experience required.- No 2 year degree’s- Open to Master’s Top 3 Skills- Work safely and follow written laboratory procedures- Data collection and analysis techniques- Problem solvingAdditional Technical Skills (Required) - Microsoft Office – Excel (vlookups/pivot tables)- General dimensions and tolerancing(Desired) - Enjoys hands on work- Familiarity with data analysis and reduction techniques- Familiary with metrology, metallurgy, and/or rubber processingSoft Skills(Required)- Self-starter and organized- Communicate and conduct work in a professional manner(Desired) Comfortable with creating and giving presentationsDisqualifiers/Red Flags:- Inability to flex schedule with testing requirements.- Past safety incidents or terminations with cause
