Reliability Maintenance & Engineering (RME) work continuously behind the scenes to ensure all robotics and material handling equipment (MHE) operate smoothly. About the Role As a Mechatronics & Robotics Technician, you will support the Operations Maintenance team by repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain, and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment while mentoring junior technicians. What Do We Offer? Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all MHE, including belts, motors, photo‑eyes, relays, and more. Maintain a positive working relationship across all Amazon Operations facilities. Move up to 49 lbs, stand, walk, climb ladders and gangways safely, and perform regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching tasks during shifts up to 12 hours. Basic Qualifications High school or equivalent diploma. 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience. Work a flexible schedule/shift/area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays. Certification from Amazon’s Mechatronics and Robotics Apprenticeship Program, or 2+ years of automated conveyor systems and controls experience. 2+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures. 2+ years of reading blueprints and electrical schematics. 2+ years of demonstrating safety standards. 2+ years of troubleshooting and diagnostics of material handling equipment (MHE). Preferred Qualifications Experience with robotic operation and maintenance. 2+ years of electrical and electronic principles experience. Associate’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical. 2+ years of mechanical or electrical apprenticeship experience. The starting pay for this position includes the base rate plus the highest available shift differential. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings such as overtime pay and performance bonuses.
