Job Description

Frederick J. Kramer is seeking a full-time experienced Medicaid Paralegal /Specialist to join our firm to prepare and submit Medicaid applications for our clients who require Home Care assistance or Nursing Home assistance.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Preparation and submission of Medicaid applications to the Department of Social Services in the appropriate County based on the client's need for Community (Home Care) or Institutional (Nursing Home) assistance.

Assist Medicaid Supervisor and Attorneys with clients including in person conferences, answering telephone calls , orchestrating the accessing from clients all applicable financial information and documentation required to submit a proper Medicaid application to the Department of Social Services.

Assisting, interacting with and guiding our clients and their families in obtaining all applicable records and documents to be submitted

Maintaining and managing several active Medicaid cases with emphasis on meeting all filing requirements and Department of Social Services caseworker deadlines.

Work closely and diligently with our Medicaid Supervisor and Department of Social Services caseworker and other personnel to efficiently and timely submit our clients' Medicaid applications

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS

MUST HAVE AT LEAST 2-3 YEARS AS AN A MEDICAID SPECIALIST

MUST HAVE EXCELLENT COMMUNICATION SKILLS AND PATIENCE IN DEALING WITH OUR SENIOR CITIZEN CLIENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES

Multi-task and be self motivated to achieve success for our clients (Medicaid Approvals)
