Medical Affairs Coordinator (MAC) Basingstoke (Head Office) - 3 days per week Fixed‑term contract: 1 April 2026 – 31 December 2026 Department: Medical Affairs – Cardio HealthRole OverviewThis is an excellent opportunity for a Medical Affairs Coordinator (MAC) to gain hands‑on experience within a large, fast‑paced Medical Affairs function. You’ll work across a wide range of operational, scientific, and compliance‑focused activities, supporting medical teams working in Cardio‑Metabolic Health (CMH), including diabetes and obesity.You will contribute to the creation and approval of medical materials, support internal processes, coordinate medical activities, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to ensure operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesMedical Operations & Content DevelopmentDevelop a strong understanding of relevant therapeutic areas, particularly diabetes and obesity.Create, update, and maintain medical materials across the PMAP and Veeva lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry and internal standards.Support the development of high‑quality medical education content for healthcare professionals.Cross‑Functional CollaborationWork closely with Medical Affairs Professionals and teams such as Ethics & Compliance, Finance, Omnichannel Strategy, Enterprise Meeting Services, and external agencies.Support the implementation of brand plans and medical launch activities.Provide operational and creative input into medical and cross‑functional initiatives.Meetings, Events & EngagementCoordinate logistics, agendas, and chairing of head office medical meetings.Liaise with field medical teams to develop, review, and approve engagement materials in an ABPI‑compliant manner.Support planning and delivery of symposia and educational events for healthcare professionals.Data, Metrics & SystemsCollate and present key Medical Affairs metrics from multiple sources in a clear and user‑friendly format.Maintain oversight of medical repositories, ensuring version control, audit readiness, and effective document lifecycle management.Team Support & LeadershipContribute to the supervision and training of the Medical Affairs Associate (student placement).Drive internal coordination and support continuous improvement across Medical Affairs processes.Required Qualifications & AttributesEducation & Technical SkillsUndergraduate degree in a biological or life science discipline (2:1 or above expected).Awareness or understanding of Veeva Promomats.Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Fluent in written and spoken English.Strong analytical skills.Personal AttributesProactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.Strong interpersonal and cross‑functional collaboration skills.High level of accountability and ownership.Comfortable working independently and within a team.Thrives in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
