AllSTEM Connections is seeking a Medical Affairs Specialist to work hybrid (3 days onsite/week) in Plainsboro, NJ.
This is an 18-month contract position. Possible extension/temp-to-hire.
Hourly rate is up to $70/hour.
M-F, 8AM - 5PM.
SUMMARY:
Our confidential client is focused on the creation and development of innovative and differentiated antibody products, with the aim of improving the lives of cancer patients.
This role is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and execution of the global medical congress strategy across the client’s Oncology portfolio. The individual will support the process for medical congress presence, engagement, and insight gathering in local/regional EU congresses along with international congresses with EU impact. Success in this role requires a collaborative mindset to work cross-functionally as well as the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute plans within CoE with greater technical depth and breadth (training & compliance, project management, medical education, grants & sponsorships)
- Define work instructions/process flows within own area/study
- Implement delivery plans and provide periodic reporting in line with overall CoE strategy (e.g. project metrics, training outcomes, grant outcomes, budgets, vendor metrics)
- Guide and direct team members to drive compliance and address issues related to deliverables
- Actively contribute in teams and meetings; collaborate with other medical affairs groups and external stakeholders as required
- Congress Activities Management: support pre-, peri-, and post-congress activities, including communications, scheduling, meeting debriefs, and insights gathering for strategic dissemination.
- Vendor & Budget Oversight: Manage planning timelines, vendor coordination, and budget adherence, ensuring all deadlines and deliverables are met successfully.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster collaboration across the matrix organization, partnering with commercial and R&D stakeholders to align on meeting priorities.
- Thought Leader Engagement Project Management: Support the coordination thought leader engagement activities at conferences across the EU, ensuring clear objectives, timely communication and cross-functional alignment
- Competitive Intelligence: Support competitive intelligence process through clear communication of timelines, vendor management and dissemination of insights
- Scientific Booth/Tabletop Execution: Lead the planning and execution of scientific booth/tabletop content for local/regional EU congresses to enhance engagement and visibility.
- Train and mentor others around new technologies and scientific aspects of applied scientific research
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education: A scientific or medical degree (Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science) is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years in the pharmaceutical industry within a matrix structure and Medical Affairs roles.
- Congress Expertise: Prior experience in congress planning is preferred.
- Collaboration & Organization: Strong ability to build effective cross-functional relationships and organizational skills with a solution-oriented mindset, driving optimal business outcomes in a complex matrix environment.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with the capacity to convey complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
- Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to navigate ambiguous business challenges and develop effective solutions.
- Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility in responding to evolving needs and competing priorities.
