Medical Assistants - 10 positions Locations: Islip, StonyBrook, Commack, Lake Grove, Setauket Schedule: Monday-Friday, Range from 7:30am - 5:30 pm Pay Range: $20.28 - $25.34/hour Key Responsibilities Escort patients to exam rooms and document vitals, medications, and chief complaints in the EMR Perform routine screenings: height, weight, blood pressure, pulse, temperature Assist providers during exams and procedures; prepare exam rooms and equipment Collect and process lab specimens; perform routine laboratory tests as needed Enter proposed orders into EMR for provider approval Retrieve previous test results and medical records from outside facilities Educate patients on treatments, medications, and provider instructions Clean and sterilize instruments; dispose of supplies in compliance with regulations Maintain inventory and cleanliness of exam rooms; order supplies as needed Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient messages Follow protocols for patient flow and visit completion Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA guidelines Qualifications High school diploma or GED Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program EMR experience required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting Professional demeanor and excellent attention to detail Apply To apply, please email your resume to: Call me 516-748-6871 Job Type: Full-time Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Health Care Provider Industries Hospitals and Health Care #J-18808-Ljbffr
