Job TitleProvides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting. This position works directly with a franchised business location. The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises.ResponsibilitiesObtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical examExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patientsEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely mannerAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedureDraw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processingPerform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructionsRespond to all lab messages and call back requestsPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulationsEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedureConduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basisPrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for proceduresMaintain complete and accurate documentationOther duties and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
