Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant located in Surf City, NC. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting clinical and administrative functions, including assisting with patient care, facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring an efficient workflow within the medical office. The role also involves using medical terminology appropriately and maintaining a commitment to excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Medical Assisting and a solid understanding of Medical Terminology
• Experience working in a Medical Office environment
• Strong skills in Patient Care and the ability to provide compassionate support
• Familiarity with managing and maintaining accurate Medical Records
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and maintain organization in a fast-paced healthcare setting
• Certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of electronic health records (EHR) Athena Health system is a plus
