Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant at Southernmost Foot and Ankle Specialists, based in south Miami-Dade County, FL. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and other healthcare providers by preparing patients for examinations, taking medical histories, collecting and maintaining medical records, taking x-rays, and assisting with procedures. Additional responsibilities include ensuring patient comfort, managing clinical tasks, and contributing to the smooth operation of the medical office.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Medical Assisting tasks, including clinical and administrative responsibilities
  • Strong knowledge of Medical Terminology relevant to the healthcare setting
  • Experience in the management and operations of a Medical Office
  • Skills in Patient Care, including assisting during procedures, addressing patient needs, and ensuring their well-being
  • Familiarity with maintaining and organizing Medical Records, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
