El Segundo Blvd Ste 110, El Segundo, CA 90245 3285 Skypark Dr, Torrance, CA 90505 1360 W 6th St., Ste 325 North Building, San Pedro, CA 90732 Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday 8 hours between 0800-1630 Required Qualifications: HSD/GED Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program OR national certification through AAMA, AMCA, AMT, CCBMA, or MMCI. Demonstrated ability to prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests, taking blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and reporting patient history summaries 2 years working as an MA Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture BLS (AHA or ARC) Flu vaccination (no declinations/no exemptions) Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years working as an MA in an outpatient surgical center Experience with CS-Link/Epic Experience with Quest Diagnostic laboratory submissions Phlebotomy certification Understanding of medical terminology Experience with medical insurance, referral processes, and benefit plans Job Duties: Greet patients, take appropriate vital signs, review current meds, and record in the medical record Assist with tracking and monitoring department-specific data Explain policies, procedures, or services to patients based on scope of practice Set up exam/procedure rooms appropriate to the patient visit needs Clean and re-process equipment and supplies following department guidelines Administer immunizations, injections, or oral medications as directed by the provider Draw and prepare designated lab work or specimens as directed by the provider NOTE: These statements describe the primary duties and responsibilities of the job and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all tasks.
