Compensation: $18 - $21/hr

Job Summary:

We are seeking another Medical Assistant to join our team here in Prescott, AZ. The ideal person has at least one year experience working in a healthcare clinic setting, ideally graduated from a recognized MA program.

We are looking for someone who would like to advance in this position and see growth in their career. We value self motivated individuals with drive for their future.

Duties:

1. Preparing and organizing examination rooms for patient visits and ensuring all necessary equipment is ready.

2. Assisting healthcare providers during patient examinations, medical procedures, and surgeries. 

3. Documenting patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant health data in the electronic medical records system. 

4. Conducting basic diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), drawing blood, and collecting and preparing laboratory specimens. 

5. Administering medication and immunizations as directed by the healthcare provider. 

6. Assisting with patient education, explaining procedures, administering post-treatment instructions, and answering questions related to healthcare.

7. Managing administrative tasks like scheduling appointments, processing insurances, conducting follow-ups, and maintaining patient records.

8. Upholding safety and sterilization procedures, including cleaning and sterilizing instruments and disposing of contaminated supplies.

9. Assisting with front desk tasks, such as answering phone calls, greeting patients, and managing patient flow.

10. Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the healthcare facility.

  • Completion of MA Program OR 1 Year Experience as MA
