Medical Assistant Apply
Job Summary:
This is a 13-week contract position for a Medical Assistant in Sammamish, WA, working Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The Medical Assistant will support physicians and APCs in a primary care clinic, assisting with patient care and clinic operations. Candidates must have at least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) and experience with EPIC EMR is required.

Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living.
- Perform range of motion exercises.
- Ambulate patients and provide skin care.
- Distribute linen and change beds as needed.
- Assist with feeding and meal delivery.
- Assist with routine hygiene care, including toileting and incontinent care, as well as oral and personal hygiene.
- Collect patient data and specimens (urine, stool, sputum).
- Obtain and record weights, vital signs, pulse oximetry, pain assessment, and I&O.
- Communicate patient status and report changes in condition to licensed professionals.
- Perform incentive spirometry.
- Transport patients and prepare them for diagnostic tests.
- Assist rehab therapists.
- Perform pulse oximetry/oxygen setup for oxygen therapy.
- Prepare rooms (supplies) and provide post-mortem care.
- Prepare for admission and discharge.
- Assist nurses in emergency situations.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Perform oral and nasopharyngeal suctioning.
- Perform blood sugar finger sticks.
- Remove IV catheters per licensed nurse instruction.
- Perform EKGs (department-specific).
- Answer unit phones and direct calls.
- Perform data entry into electronic medical database systems and document patient care.
- Perform selected patient registration activities.
- Coordinate equipment/supply needs and report malfunctions.
- Perform other related clerical and technical duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) certification.
- BLS certification.
- At least 6 months of experience working as an MA-C.
- Active WA license in-hand at the time of submission.
- EPIC EMR experience.

Special Considerations:
- Must have reliable transportation (not public transportation).
- No additional scheduling restrictions.
- Facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks).

- 5x8hr Days, 0830-1700, Mon-Fri.
